What This Skill Covers

Electronics foundations give students the vocabulary and hands-on experience to work with electrical components confidently. This isn't abstract theory — students learn by building real circuits that power their projects.

Circuit Fundamentals

Voltage, current, resistance — understanding what makes a circuit work

Component Recognition

LEDs, resistors, capacitors, transistors, and when to use each

Breadboard Prototyping

Building and testing circuits before committing to permanent wiring

Power Management

Choosing batteries, regulators, and understanding power budgets

Progression Across Grades

Grades 3-4

Simple LED circuits, button switches, basic breadboard layouts

Grades 5-6

Multi-component circuits, sensor connections, motor driver wiring
